An equation involving derivatives of one or more dependent variables with respect to one or more independent variables is called Differential Equation.
Ordinary Differential Equation:
An equation involving ordinary derivatives of one or more dependent variables with respect to a single independent variables is called Ordinary Differential Equation.
Partial Differential Equation:
An equation involving partial derivatives of one or more dependent variables with respect to more than one independent variables is called Partial Differential Equation.
Order:
The order of the highest ordered derivative involved in a differential equation is called order of the differential equation.
Degree:
The degree/power of any ordered derivative involved in a differential equation is called degree of the differential equation.
Solution of a differential Equation:
If any differential equation be satisfied by any defined and differential function, then the function is called solution of differential equation.
Explicit Solution:
If the function y=f(x) is the solution of a differential equation of variables x and y, then the solution is called explicit solution.
Implicit Solution:
If the function F(x,y)=0 is the solution of a differential equation of variables x and y, then the solution is called implicit solution.
General solution:
If the solution of any nth order differential equation contains n arbitrary constants, then the solution is called general solution of differential equation.
This is very useful for us.......Go ahead Sir.....Salute:-)
